A Prayer of Protection for the United States of America

The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord. He is our stronghold in the time of trouble! Yes, the Lord helps us and delivers us; He delivers us from the wicked and saves us, because we take refuge in Him. Psalm 37:39-40 (ESV)
Scriptural Prayer:
Holy and Righteous Father, we thank You for honoring our prayers as a nation and extending Your mercy toward us. Thank You for protecting our borders. Father, we thank You for all of our brave service members who are defending our nation’s liberties and freedoms, as well as our country’s allies. Father, Your Word is true and we can trust everything that You do. You love whatever is just and good. Your unfailing love fills the earth. You merely spoke and the heavens were created; You breathed the Word and all of the stars were born. You assigned boundaries of the seas and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs. Let the whole world fear You and let everyone stand in awe of You! You are great and mighty!
Triumphant Father, You are the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. There is no power greater than Yours. Some nations boast of their chariots and horses [their armies and weaponry], but we, the United States, boast in the Name of the Lord, our God. Using the power and authority given to us through Jesus Christ, we destroy every demonic assignment that the devil will try to use to retaliate against the United States. We command every hidden scheme of terror and destruction to expose itself. We declare that every evil attempt to come against our country, our leaders or our citizens in any part of the world, will come to nothing. We decree that no weapon formed within or against our nation shall prosper. God arise and let Your enemies be scattered!
Holy Spirit, show me how to pray effectively for the security of our nation:
Almighty Father, continue to extend Your grace and mercy towards our nation. Please do not turn your face away from us. Confuse and silence the communications between the sleeper terrorist cells in America and worldwide. Holy Spirit, empower President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley and key leaders who are making decisions, with Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and discernment. Calm the fears of our youth and children. Lord, remind the Body of Christ to pray diligently and earnestly for Your Kingdom to advance worldwide.
Merciful Father, we admit that our nation is a pluralistic society that confesses many gods; but there is a remnant that trusts only in You. We trust in You, the only living God. Forgive our nation for its many sins. Forgive us for rebellion, defiance, disobedience, arrogance, greed, and perversion. Forgive us, the Body of Christ, for not always representing Your Kingdom and righteousness to the world. Father, please have mercy upon us. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
You are the Lord, our God and there is no other. No one is holy like You. There is no one besides You. There is no Rock like You, our God. Lord, You are the King of kings and Lord of lords. You rule and reign forever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
