Prayer Topic #19:

A Prayer for Salvation

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 104:31-34, Romans 10:9-13

Reflections of the Heart:

Let us be like Jesus who went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil. Those who have yet to receive salvation need the love of Jesus more than anything else. Let us pray for them, fervently!

Scriptural Prayer:

Awesome Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ.  Thank You, Lord Jesus, for coming so that we can live in harmony with God, our Father. Thank You for delivering us from sin. You are the Lord Most High, the great King over all the earth!  Our souls praise You, Father, and we remember all Your benefits.  You are the One who forgives all our sins, heals us from diseases, saves our lives from death, and crowns us with love and mercies. We honor You as our Lord and Savior.

Holy Father, You want everyone to be saved and confess that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one can come to You except through Christ Jesus. We declare that every person who confesses with their mouth and believes in their heart that You raised Jesus from the dead will be saved. We will be bold in our relationship with You and will tell our friends, classmates and family members of Your goodness so that they will want to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, too.

Holy Spirit, help us to share the word of salvation with people who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  As they come to know the Truth, the Truth will set them free. Father, as Your Word goes forth, touch the hearts of the unsaved to receive it. Help us to live in a way that will draw people to the Lord and not cause them to turn away from Him.

Write down three great things about the Lord. Now, ask the Holy Spirit who you need to share this information with:

Righteous Father, forgive the unsaved for their disobedience. Forgive them for not accepting Jesus as their Lord. Please forgive me for (list any sin that comes to mind). Lord, remind us all of those we need to forgive; and we will be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to show you names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He shows you, say aloud, “I forgive name of person(s).”)

Holy Spirit, help us all to not yield to temptation; but deliver us from the evil one.

Glorious King, You made the earth by Your power and preserve it by Your wisdom. With Your own understanding, You stretched out the heavens. You are the Mighty God. In Jesus’ name, amen.
