A Declaration of Kingdom Posterity

Scripture Reading:

Psalm 136, Isaiah 62

Reflections of the Heart:

As a Church Family, may the Lord bless us and protect us.  May the Lord smile on us and be gracious to us.  May the Lord show us His favor and give us His peace.  Numbers 6:24-26 (NLT)

Scriptural Prayer:

Our Father, we thank You for the bright and prosperous future that You have for our Windsor Village Church Family.  Thank You for rewarding our Church Family with the gift of beautiful, healthy, strong, and bright children, youth, young adults and adults.  Thank You for keeping us safe and always in Your watchful care.  Lord, You are good.  Your steadfast love endures forever, and Your faithfulness spans to all generations! Your mercies are fresh every morning.  We praise Your great and awesome Name.  Your Name is holy!

Faithful Father, we declare that Your Kingdom is established in our Windsor Village Church Family on earth, as it is in Heaven.  You are the God of all generations!  Your testimonies are our heritage forever and joy to our hearts. Therefore, each generation will tell its children of Your mighty acts.  Our parents will train up our younger generations in the way they should go, so that when they are old they will not depart from it. Our younger generations will submit themselves to our elders of the church as they clothe themselves in humility.  We confess that in these last days, Lord, You will pour out Your Spirit upon us all.  Our sons and daughters will prophesy. Our young men will see visions, and our old men will dream dreams.  We declare that our younger generations will keep hold of Your instruction and they will not let go for it is the path of life.  We declare that the future offspring that is produced in our Church Family are blessed and they will obey Your voice.

Holy Spirit, I am appropriating Kingdom posterity in our Church Family by:

Holy Spirit, as a Church Family, knit our hearts together to walk in a manner worthy of the calling in the Kingdom. Unite us in the Spirit.  Turn the hearts of parents to their children and of children to their parents for the sake of Kingdom generational posterity.  Lord, please help all generations to not operate in pride, but to always remember that it is Your sufficient grace that keeps us.  Holy Spirit, encourage our older adults who may feel intimidated by our younger adults or are fearful of being replaced or not being needed in our Church Family.  Help them to embrace this season in our Church Family as an opportunity to equip our younger generations for the work of ministry in the Kingdom.  Help our young adults who may feel that they know better than the older adults.  Create in all of us clean hearts and renew right spirits in us.  Father, please help each generation to take delight to implementing Your work, because the harvest is plenty but the laborers are few.  Lord, send more laborers into the harvest.  Help us all to remember that we are the hands and feet of Jesus Christ in this earth and that we are to extend Your will beyond the walls of the church.  Holy Spirit, please help us all to remember the ultimate sacrifice that Jesus made for us and His great commission.

Compassionate Father, forgive our children, youth, young adults and adults collectively and individually for all sinful acts, including pride, rebellion, rejection, idolatry, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, homosexuality, selfish ambitions, fornication, envy, drunkenness, division and disobedience.  Forgive us for, at times, losing sight of who we are in Jesus Christ.  Forgive us for, at times, having a form of Godliness, but denying the power within us.  Forgive the adults in our Church Family who are not embracing our younger generations according to Your Word.  Forgive those in our younger generations who are disrespecting our elders.  Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed).  Holy Spirit, remind us all of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive.  (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive.  As He reveals them, say, “I forgive name of person(s).”  Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)

Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.

Holy, Holy, Holy are You, the Lord of hosts the whole earth is full of Your glory. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. You are the God who is, who was, and who is to come. You are the Almighty.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
