Prayer Topic #13:
A Declaration for Our Blessed Future
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 113:1-4, Deuteronomy 8:18
Scriptural Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for being our God. Thank You for knowing each of us and for having us written in the palm of Your hand. Thank You for blessing us with bright, blessed lives. Lord, our God, Your majestic Name fills the earth. Your glory is higher than the heavens. You have taught children and infants to tell of Your strength, silencing Your enemies and all who oppose You. You are an awesome God. We love You!
Glorious Father, as Your children, we agree with the plans You have for us which are for good and not for disaster; to give us a future and a hope. We declare that we are blessed because we fear You, and delight in obeying Your commands. As we walk uprightly before You, we know that You will not withhold any good thing from us. We will prize wisdom and she will make us great. We will embrace her and she will honor us. We declare that God’s favor surrounds us like a shield and we will succeed in all that we do.
Write down three things you know you need to do better. Now, ask the Holy Spirit to help you:
Holy Spirit, help us to make good decisions now so that we can have blessed futures. Remind us to always honor our parents so that things will go well with us and we will have long lives. Help us to stay focused at school and to be obedient to our teachers. Help us to choose our friends wisely so that we can encourage each other to do what is right and to live honorable lives.
Merciful Father, forgive us for times when we have not been obedient to our parents, teachers or other adults. Forgive us for lying, being mean to our siblings and classmates. Forgive us for not studying like we should. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind all of us of those we need to forgive and help us to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Holy Spirit, help us all not to yield to temptation but deliver us from the evil one.
Awesome Lord, You made the earth by Your power and preserve it by Your wisdom. With Your own understanding You stretched out the heavens. When You speak in the thunder, You announce that the heavens are filled with water. You cause the clouds to rise over the earth. You send the lightning with the rain and release the wind from Your storehouses. In Jesus Name, Amen.
