Prayer Topic #12:
A Declaration for the Men of Windsor Village
Scripture Reading:
Reflections of the Heart:
Men are called to be the head of their homes and leaders in the community. Christian men carry a lot of responsibility. Let’s rally around them as a Church Family and undergird them so they can be all that God has created them to be.
Scriptural Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for equipping the men in our Church Family to take their rightful place in You. Thank You for empowering them to walk in Your power and authority. Thank You, God, for restoration, reconciliation and healing in our families and communities. Thank You, for giving them all things that pertain to life and Godliness. Lord, You are our Good Shepherd, our High Priest. You are a great God and a great King above all gods. You hold in Your hands the depths of the earth and the mightiest mountains. The sea belongs to You, for Your made it. Your hands formed the dry land, too. Today, we bow down and worship You. We kneel before You and acknowledge You as our Lord and maker. You are our God and we are the people that You watch over and have taken under Your care.
Almighty Father, by faith, we call all of our men saved, sanctified, and filled with Your Spirit. Your Word instructs that faith without works is dead, so we confess that the men of Windsor Village are working to develop and demonstrate their Christian faith daily. We decree that our men love You, Lord, with all of their hearts, minds and strength, and like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, they excel academically, socially and psychologically. They are great leaders, loving husbands and excellent fathers. As they submit to Your Word daily; they are transformed by the renewing of their minds. Lord, we decree that their belief systems and behavior patterns will reflect Your righteousness in their personal and professional lives. As they fellowship with one another; others will see their good works and glorify You, our Father in heaven. Lord, we expect that You will cause every enemy who rises against our men one way to be defeated and flee seven ways. It is our expectation that You will command Your blessing upon their storehouses and in all that they set their hands to do and You will bless them in the land.
I will pray for these following men this month:
Holy Spirit, please instruct our men in their relationships, careers, work in church ministry and finances. Help them in planning their days, paying attention to their duties, staying focused on their assignments, and with establishing priorities in their professional and personal lives. We joyfully lift up to You our families. Holy Spirit, please fill the homes of our men with Your gentleness, peace, joy, and Godly order. Bless our married men and refresh them psychologically, emotionally and sexually. Bless the single men of our Church Family and empower them psychologically, emotionally and financially. Please help all of our men to strip off every weight that slows them down; especially the sin that so easily trips them up. Teach them how to run with endurance the race God has set before them. Lord, strengthen and encourage those men who feel overwhelmed with the cares of life. Teach the women in our Church Family how to pray for, encourage and support our men.
Merciful Father, forgive our men for not being steadfast in prayer and the study of Your Word. Forgive them for sins of disobedience, selfishness, lying, pornography, fornication, adultery and for not accepting the responsibility for leadership within their families and the church. Lord, forgive me for (list any sins that you have committed). Holy Spirit, remind our men of those they need to forgive and help them to be quick to forgive. As for me, Holy Spirit, bring to my remembrance those I need to forgive. (Take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal names or faces of people that you may need to forgive. As He reveals them, say “I forgive name of person(s).” Now, trust the Lord to heal any wounds in your soul caused by unforgiveness.)
Wonderful Father, help our men not to yield to temptation but deliver them from the evil one.
O Lord, the God of our ancestor Israel, may You be praised forever and ever! Yours O Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory and the majesty. Everything in the heavens and on earth is Yours. This is Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
